A handmade loom-band bracelet by Blossom Loom

~ the maker ~

Hi, I'm the one
behind the looms

I'm eleven years old, and I make jewelry. Not the kind you find in a shop, the kind that starts with a pile of bands on my bedroom floor and ends up as something you actually want to wear.

~ how it started ~

It began with a bracelet kit I got for my birthday. I made one for myself, then one for my mam, then one for my best friend. By the end of the week I'd made fourteen bracelets and run out of people to give them to.

So I started experimenting. I learned new patterns from videos, the fishtail, the diamond, the triple-link, until I could loom them with my eyes closed (well, almost). Every spare rubber band in the house ended up on my pegboard.

My dad suggested I try selling a few pieces. I thought he was joking. Who'd buy jewelry made by a kid? Turns out, quite a few people. They said things like “this is so much nicer than anything in the shops” and “I can tell someone actually made this with their hands.”

That's when Blossom Loom was born.

~ what makes it different ~

Slow-made

Every piece takes time. A patterned bracelet is an hour of careful looping. Each band is hooked, stretched, and adjusted until it feels right. No rushing.

One of a kind

I don't use moulds or machines. Each piece is shaped by hand, so no two are exactly alike. That wonky loop? That's not a flaw, it's character.

Made by a kid

I'm eleven. I make jewelry after school and on weekends. My dad helps with the website and the post office. Everything else, the designing, the making, the naming, is me.
